It's super crazy you have a 100K and don't know what to do with it!!!
1.I would get off of Gearslutz ASAP..!!!
2.I'll give you the best advice, get what you want. Build the best you can, and buy the best you can..
3.You should know what to do....

Before spending any of it, I would go and do some research to complete my homework.

Get a profession which earns you money instead of spending it.

What's up with your client base? What do they require of you?

What are your business goals? How do you plan to bring in business, make money and provide exceptional services?

In other words....Where is your plan and outline? Do you have a space ready?

Its probably impossible to determine the cost of an entire studio build out without some kind of idea where and what the space entails. There is no cookie cutter recipe because everyone's situation is different. What kind of overhead are you thinking about sustaining as a commercial facility? Do you just want to spend 100K once and that's it?

Nope, probably only the start of your journey. You need to budget that 100K very wisely, if it represents your initial investment for your business, and I would stay far away from people telling you what to buy for your 100K. Do you have clients ready to move into the space and work upon it's completion? Do you have a stable of hard working and trustworthy rep's, engineers and producers who can bring in work?

I'd you have 100k to spend on a studio and come here to ask, then I would say find a financial advisor. Seriously.

If you don't know, you should not waste your time and money. I get a kick out of these posts. People that build studios build them to accommodate the needs of their business. If I were you, I would put that money into a house or something, not a studio that will close in three years or less.

But, since you went there, why not rent out an existing studio with your cash, grow your business with your excellent chops, until you have a million or two or three. THEN you can open a real studio. 100k is chump change. You have to have the people, with proven experience before you have the gear. Otherwise, you will be hard pressed to compete with well outfitted home studios at 100k.

I already knew with nine years, what equipment I would like to buy when I'm older.

100.000,00$... buy a used, but good well-preserved complete studio.

call adam brass and tell him your goals and what your looking for and want to achieve. in other words get a real audio professional consultant. word of advice... first things first location, space, and room (treatment) before you spend a dime on a single piece of equipment this needs to be finished and taken care of first.

Pro Tools HDX2 ,sync i/o, 4 HD 16x16analog , Barefoot mm27s. C24 X2 , MacPro 12 core X2 . 24 channels of your fav pre amps get a few different colours NEVE ,BAE ,Focusrite, API, and some clean pre,s Millennia, Grace ,True systems .
Next a SSL 4064 and you should be good.
Now all you need is another $100,000 to put it in and $50,000 to fix up the acoustics.

Acoustics depends on the place...
I'd invest about 20k to make everything perfect in the room, I guess
Then I'd buy MacPro with an HDX rig, the rest is up to you...

To the OP: Don't lust for a big console, if you don't have already room treatment, monitors and mics

No doubt it's a very good starting point for someone who really knows what is needed, but for someone who doesn't have any clue about it's really nothing.
