Ask him his name and the serial number of the mic, then contact Soundelux or Trans Audio and see if they have any info.

Very, very true! I have been insisting on local pickup for large purchases lately, and the response from the seller when asked about this is VERY TELLING! It is funny when you find someone that is a bit dodgy, their response and excuses as to why they cannot meet with you are quite hilareous. My new policy for high-end purchases: "No see, no buy". I lose out on some good deals that way, but I am never to be burned again! I will drive between 4 and 5 hours to get a good piece.
