how to connect a Little Labs IBP to Pro Tools???

Hi all,
I will order my first IBP the next days and I have a Question:
I have a PT HD Rig with 192 I/Os and one Universal Audio LA 610 and Three Focusrite Octopre PreAmps.

How do I connect the IBP?

From the LL site:
"The xlr balanced input is designed for balanced line level sources, the xlr output is transformer isolated and can feed balanced or unbalanced line level inputs."
This means, it should be inserted; I cannot use it in line Mic -> IBP -> Preamp -> Pro Tools.

As my preamps do not have an Insert, I thought I could use it as a hardware insert in Pro Tools???
But Then again, I would have a AD and a DA with it...
and I think, one should get it all right before going into the DAW...

so how is it correctly conected, if I have have no preamp with an insert point???

Thank you all!

Andi
