I'm about to pull the trigger on a monitor ST. Any other similar contenders with similar features? I'm pretty much solid into the dangerous reputation.

To me it's them or Crane Song...really everything else isn't in their league...or it's more money for similar response.

The Avocet has amazing meters. The Dangerous ST has additional buttons to A/B with your Sub in and out. I wish both units took a hint from each other this way. =)

The avocet is also twice as expensive... Hahaha

That was my other choice, before I priced surround.... Yikes!

playing iPod or iPhone through monitor ST

whats the best way to play your iPhone through the dangerous ST into your studio monitors? Does it have to be an 1/8th inch cable out of iPhone to an adapter that splits that stereo signal into a L and R XLR which then goes to my XLR to DSUB snake into monitor ST analog input 7/8 (input 4). If so where can I get such an adapter (1/8th inch split out to two mono L and R XLRs)

maybe there is a better way?

Cheers!

Here for the gear

CB Electronics TMC-1

CB Electronics have just released the TMC-1 Xmon (analogue) and TMC-1 Penta (Digital), it looks like a fantastic piece of kit, and you can get it for analogue and upgrade it to digital at a later date.

Check it out, it might be of interest

Try Mammoth Cave Audio. He makes some sort of passive controller. He also makes custom pieces.
