amp farm in pro tools 8

Does amp farm 3 work in pro tools 8 and/or 9 ?

I did some searches but didn't find anything to confirm this. Sorry if already covered somewhere...

in less than 1 minute, I found all this and posted...

Google is your friend, and it's the cheapest and quickest form of research there is.

Read here:
Avid - Amp Farm 3 Downloads
And here...
Community: upgraded to amp farm v.3...
Then here...
Line 6 Amp Farm software

And finally, don't be afraid of our own "search" function...
Amp Farm 3??

Have you also considered the Digidesign Eleven?

Best regards,

Ward

Hi Ward,

Thanks for taking the time. What is this "google" you speak of?!? :-) jk

Prior to creating this thread, I had been on all the pages you've suggested but find no answer to my question. Perhaps I'm over sighting it but after a second glance, per your prompting, I still cannot confirm.

No biggie, I could always call line 6 or avid tech support

Happy New Year!

Funny man. LOL

You might not get much positive feedback around here as I have seen many speak quite poorly of any sort of amp modeling. However, I think the time has come when amp modeling will work as well in many recordings as grand piano modeling or organ modeling, even drum modeling (shudder).

There are records we work on when the guitar is front and center and the basis of the music, and for that you really want great amplifiers, speakers, microphones and technique fronted by a great player with a great axe.

but then at times the guitar is not the be-all and end-all of the recording, and for that modeling is certainly a great way to achieve results more quickly. And isn't that what it's all about some times?

Best of luck,

Ward
