Now so many good responses are given about the Mohog I suggest to add it in the pole choises.
For other options people can mention products from Imbir, IGS etc..

Paul

This is not exactly a commercial recording but you can take a listen. Only the Vocals were tracked through the MoFET76. I was loaning my units out for loaners and rarely had them at my studio. This was mixed completely in the box and no extra compression was added to the vocals. Typical compression was 3-6db with fast attack and release at 20:1 with maybe 10db compression on hard hit syllables.

I used my Mohog on the last album of an Electro Pop band named Belanova which I just produced, they are a huge act in the latin market, you can hear the Mohog on vocals and bass there, the album is named Sueño Electro.

Best regards.

I would love it if Mohog had a stereo version like the 1178

I bought a brand new UA 1176LN compressor last year and I just love it. Amazing on bass, guitars, etc. I tried the Purple and it was good as well, but I purchaed the UA for two reasons. The signal running through it was not as bright, and the faceplate looks nicer in black. Both do provide a punchy sound, but I just liked the UA better. Some old gear has a less clear sound, but just like the other guy said about solid state pre's and tube pre's....I found the new UA 1176 to be great. The UAD Twin 1176 does not sound the same, and I prefer the single 1176 more. Not sure what is different between the two, but there is a sound difference.

The stereo link adapter is free currently, including cables, when buying 2 units.

Many people here seem to think that the Mohog Audio version is better than both the UA1176 and the Purple MC77 in terms of sound quality, tone and noise floor.

Do you concur?
