distressors stereo

Hi, I am planning to purchase a distressor, not sure if elx or not ($$). Eventually I will end up buying a second one for stereo. Should I consider something special when acquiring the first one? The 2 rack units stereo model is just two mono`s together?

By the way, if any have one near the NYC area please advice. I need one asap.

Many thanks

John

You're a week late, you just missed Empirical Lab's 15% off sale...
...Try and pick one up second hand, or wait until new year and see if any of the major retailers do some good post-Christmas deals!

the stereo units are just 2 mono with consecutive serial numbers.
Those things are so well calibrated that you can buy one today and then a second one next year or even later and they will sound identical.

Regarding the brit mod, I do have it and use it quite often.
