Everyone that knows me knows my first choice... yuktyy

Come on now, a cool location with a unique sound and/or vibe wins out everytime for me and my clients.

Then, I usually mix it with my gear at my place or on location, if applicable.

I like to work in my room. That way I work where I'm familiar and make all the money. Plus it's close to home.

I was lent the Sony for 3 weeks, I was doing a punk rock album . I think I used it on one song's oooooh's..

I was pissed off! It SOUNDED amazing but I never got to use it really!

BTW size-wise That unit it THE deepest and THE heaviest piece of outboard gear I have ever encountered.

Look into ALTIVERB for a cheaper alternative (do a serch here on GS)

heh

I think taking my PT remote rig to Santa Fe and recording Gregorian chant at the Cathedral would be cool.(where I used to be an alter boy)....did I admit that?.... I think the verb has about a 90 sec decay.

I can read and play from music score and have a Neve/Trakker/Radar 24 track Gear-gut (along with my beer-gut). BUt the rehearsal room always, always offers-up the most gems for me.

On the other hand I sorta lust for that samping Sony reverb that does the great spaces of the world. I would really like to demo one of those in my Spendor monitor home studio. All I need is a HEDD and the Sony.
Hey,

I have one of those Sony Sampling verbs... Maybe we can play with it someday at my place? You can bring your Spendor's. I would love to hear them...
