I want to upgrade my monitors!!! Sugestions???

Hello my slut friends, I decided to upgrade my monitors!
I have a pair of NS 10s wich I intend to keep and a pair of Genelec's 1029s wich I intend to upgrade..Sugestions???

Would I be upgrading if I change to Mackie's HR824 or KRK V8s???
I noticied the Mackies are becoming popular and I got a good deal for the KRKs.
Let me know your thoughts!

I'm also looking for this gear for a decent price :

Neumann U87
Digidesign Control 24
Drawmer 1960
Manley Vox Box
Pendulum Quartet

I would get the Genelec sub to match your speakers... I love Genelecs. I do not usually dig the Mackies or the KRKs.

Monitors have to be heard in the room they will be used in to know how good they sound. Even then, it is subjective. Genelecs are the closest thing to universal in most rooms that I have found. I rarely dislike them.

I would post your want list in the second hand gear section.

Dyn BM6A's

Try a pair of Dynaudio BM6A's. Never been keen on Genelec's. To bright for my liking.

i second the bm6 a s, I had 824's recently and sold them. Not a bad speaker for hip hop though. My friend is selling me his bm6s's for 100, anybody know if thats a good price?

i would stay away from Mackie's...they have a very wierd low end...i would look at ADAM P11a..those are amazing...if you have to choose between Mackie and KRK..i'd go KRK. The Dynaudio BM6a are excellent also.

I have the Dynaudio bm5a pair and love 'em. I would check these out. I used Genilecs (and still do at both the studios I work at) for a long time at home and just switched over to the bm5a's and am very happy.

Hi

My vote is for Adam's P series, and if budget permits, I will go for the S series. thumbsup

I've been very happy the NHT-Pro A20's, especially when using them in conjuction with NS-10's. They are not mentioned very much around here, but i think they are definitely worth checking out...

Cheers,
John

I own and love my BM6A's - I sometimes wish I could get a little more volume out of them so I am considering buying a pair of BM15A's - it's a little bit louder and has better low end definition. Hope that helps.
