I have found them to be really good for "pedal steel" and "Mutt-esque" backing vocals... and pretty well useless for everything else. As always, YMMV

i like em and i use em imho they do their job pretty well .
they add a nice&kinda vintage sound to the material .
but ... my racks arent loaded like those of the other guys .
i am glad i have em , they help me out a lot .

A/B'ed a few years back.

Bought the Elop.
It did what I wanted.
The ADL was weak by comparison.
I felt like it took the life out of most material I sent through it.
Bass, SNR, Vox
That was all I remember trying since I bought into someone telling me that was what the La2a thing was for.
Since then I have found a million ways to use the Elop.
Love it. Wish I had another.
