Apogee PSX 100 compared to FF 400?

Hello Slutz,
i have an offer to buy an Apogee PSX 100 and would liek to ask if anyone can tell me (from their experience) how this converter compares sound wise to an RME Fireface 400 which is what I'm using now. I find the FF a bit sterile, and am hoping the PSX 100 has a bit more vibe to its sound. Would it help the sound of the FF 400 to clock it off the Apogee?

Also what is the difference to the "SE" version and is thia labelled on the outside of the unit or how can this version be recognized?

What i the going rate on one of these?

Would you recommend it over an Apogee MiniMe??

Thx for your input!

I've never compared them but I have heard good things about the PSX-100. The SE version have updated analog electronics I think. Slightly better specs.

I used to have an Apogee mini DAC and I loved it. Helped my mixes a lot, especially the low end but this can probably be said about any good quality DAC.
