ATR makes them still. I think one was also used on an Ozzie record for drums?

as was mentioned in some earlier post, keep an ear out for some of ryan
adams new record or records - he rented my headstack this winter for several
weeks
the sound is amazing
his scenario, with a great band playing live - it made a perfect combo

moog bass to the 8 - track sounds real good.............
a great singer to the 8 track is amazing..............
its a great front end if you are headed for the other side of 1/0's
a couple of times people have come to do digital projects,
been curious, and we've ended up using only the
8 - track - no takes, no comping, just choices - drum kits to one or two tracks
it can be great for some people to work like
that.........................

in la
i think capital and reprise in burbank have them
i don't know who else
here, i know there's a few
there's one at sony uptown at 54th

and one of my favourite musicians ever, the duke ellington of our time,
with the baddestt band in the world - really. right now. scary!!
showing that hard work is always worth it - prince rogers nelson -
just bought one about six weeks ago from what i was told...................

i was able to get a blank headstack from studer right after 9/11
because they thought the world was going to end - that made it more
affordable..............

somebody must rent one in la - hear it
call john french
he's a great guy

be well

That's an exciting thought! (I usually refer to PRN as the Buddy Holly of our time, but either way...) Can't wait to hear the band.

I can't imagine a sluttier piece of gear, too. Sort of like the iMax of recorders.
