Who else repairs vintage Lexicon?

Ok, I'm getting worried having not heard baqck from Jim Fabiano in a while.

Who else repairs the vintage good stuff (224XL, 480L, PCM41-42, PCM70)?

Try http://www.advancedmusical.com in LA. If they can't help you, they will at least point you in the right direction.

I have yet to bring them a piece of gear that they can't fix.

Cheers,

elco

Getting spare parts seems to be the problem. I had a 480 in the repair shop in London for a YEAR before Lexicon USA got it together to ship the appropriate part. The vibe seems to be that since Harman have taken over Lexicon they don't care too much about owners of older products. dfegad on Harman!

Maybe Jim's on vacation or something. I just had him work on something of mine maybe two months ago. Bob Alach or any of the guys at Alachtronics might also be good candidates.

Here for the gear
i just received the ver 2.0 rom upgrades for my lexicon pcm70 yesterday. it took him about a week to respond to my email with the fax payment form, but then i received the roms a couple of days after i faxed him the payment. so i think he's around, but maybe it takes him a week or so for communication turn around. he was super helpful with my questions though. good luck.
