La3a HF Contour

I dig La3a's so much that I got my own pair finally. As the ones I've used in the past sit bolted in racks, I was pretty suprised at all the switches on the back of the units. Comp/Limit is a no brainer, as is the 50/30 switch. Is there a "rule of thumb" when it comes to the HF Contour potentiometer? As I understand it, itmakes the compressor more sensitive to high frequencies the further ccw you turn it. right?

THANKS IN ADVANCE!

I ran across This when I was doing research on how much to sell a pair of mine for.
I think having 6 may be a bit greedy.

I put in a call to my vintage mad scientist but he wasn't there. I'll check later.

I finally got a hold of my vintage guy. Counter clock wise means it will compress more high frequencies. Kinda like a de-esser. Mine are all set to flat.
