Ahh yes, that clip you speak was just two mics on the drumset...

KICK(SureBeta52)-->Neve1083-->Neve2254-->DAW
SNARE(SM57)-->Neve1083-->Neve2254--DAW

Add a pair of room mics that are compressed to hell, and you'll be in break beat heaven, drums with charecture always bring a smile to any session

One of the studios I work out of only has two MD421 and that seems to be enough. I like it on the kick, even if it's just by itself, and not used in conjuntion with a LDC like a U47 fet.

Just a reminder that the more mics on a kit, the more potential for phase issues, which translates to weak sounding drums.

I'll have to let you know on that as I bought it recently and haven't had drums up since then. I still have the 57 as well. But based on what people say...
