Studer 900 Series...urgent

hey guys,

i have the option to buy a studer 900 series desk with 12 channels, 12 eq´s and 4
stereo groups.

It was custom built for a radio station and does not have xlr outs.

I´ll post pictures tonight, when i´m back home.

The thing is, it would require a little work to get it up and running for recording purposes, but i think, it might be worth it.

What would be a good price for a studer 900 series console? It has 4 band eq´s....

Has anybody on here ever racked the individual channels of a studer board?

I´m happy about an answer, for i need to decide tonight, if i should buy this board.

thanks a lot

Mod George Necola is the man for these questions.

Don't quote me on it, but I think racking the channel strips can be a bit fraught - done properly there are three (?) different voltages required to get everything running as intended.

the guys at vintagetools.de have info on this on their website I think.

If I'm talking bollocks, please, someone shoot me....

I hope you don´t want to tear this desk apart. Keep it together, it´s great. There´s no sense in throwing a mastersection away and then buy a monitorcontroller. This desk is a buy it once in a lifetime and never give it away opportunity. I guess you´re talking about a 902/903, right?
