GML 2032 or Millenia STT-1

I will be recording a country album next month and am interested in both these units for the vocal chain. -I'll use the pre and eq only- Which one would you choose.

Thanks

Simple question, simple answer - GML

The twin topo on the SST is cool, but I dig the GML sound--very solid.

Are they very different sounding? Or just slightly different shades. Please explain what you think each unit excels at.

Thanks

Lives for gear

I deeply prefer the GML to the Millenia. The Millenia just doesn't hold itself together under heavy dynamic like the GML. It is scary how linear the GML is under all conditions. Given a good performer with good control, you will have to eq and automate very, very little. What goes out is much more like what goes in than any other pre out there.

Also, while it is clean, it isn't thin, weak, or sterile. You can still rock with a GML, but you really can't with a Millennia.
