I compared my TD2 to the SPL Native plugin and I can feel you.

the plugin is ok for subtle processing, but when you really want to shape the signal the hardware ist much nicer. has a more stable image, larger sweetspot and sounds more 'organic' if you really push the knobs.

also very tempting -> elysia nvelope -> you can use it as a TD with 2 full-bandwitch attack/sustain knobs or you can use the frequency split mode and dig deeper / more precise.
