Try to contact a dealer, or call cranesong by phone. I've heard from our distributor that Dave doesn't check his mails.

Are you sure you have the correct email address?

When I email Sean in tech support from the UK - I get a reply to ANY question in about 10 minutes!!

Check on their website for the correct email address for tech support.

Emailing Dave is like asking to talk to "The Wizard of Oz" himself, you need to talk to one of his little emerald helpers. Don't you know why he uses green bulbs - he lives in the Emerald City.

This is true, I swear .... "Tablets" .... "TABLETS!!" ... "I need my tablets"

BTW, I don't think the bulb is actually 'green', I think the lens is green, the bulb is probably clear.

It's probably a common bayonet type bulb like a 47. Just unscrew the lens and remove the bulb. It should either have a code number or a volt and amp rating. Most common bulbs are in stock at radio shack. You could also order on line at mouser or some other electronic supply.

LED replacements for bayonet bulbs like the #47 are available from
http://www.superbrightleds.com/

Just twist it in and never worry about it ever again.

Also great in Fender amps.

It actually uses a Pilot Lamp 7335. The problem is getting the green cap off without damaging it.

This is an extremely old thread but I'm resurrecting because my STC-8 bulb went out and I emailed Crane Song. They told me that it is a Chicago Miniatures #7335 . I searched online and found many styles, but this is the one you want:

VCC Optoelectronics 131A-304G

Better Rated Store:
131A-304G Chicago Miniature | Mouser

Not Very good rating store:
VCC Optoelectronics - 131A-304G - Indicators, Panel Mount - Lenses & Caps - Allied Electronics

I haven't ordered yet, but if it doesn't work I'll update this thread. Consider it working otherwise.

Just another update with more info from Crane Song:

"The Ibis uses a Chicago Miniatures lamp #327 , all of our other gear uses a Chicago Miniatures lamp #7335 . They can be ordered from Mouser Electronics."

And the pdf attached shows how to remove the lamp from the lens cover.

The reply above also has the correct lamp part number, but the links are actually for the green lens assembly (I accidentally ordered from these). Instead just search for the part numbers above at Mouser.com

The two lamps (one spare) just showed up - good service, Mouser.
