It's now between the Avedis MA5 and the Great River ME-1NV!
(Although portico sound nice too, though I've read something about it not having a DI..). Going to try and find some more shootouts.

I'm additionaly going to get a second hand duet for it's converters for now, and lavry later.

Whatever you end up getting, make sure it has a kick ass sounding DI. Even if you aren't doing direct guitar, you might want to run samples or keys through it or DI'd bass in the future. Definitely stretches your bang for the buck.

Yeah, I really need a DI for my gibson, so it turns out that the MA5 is going to be out of the running, as it doesn't have one!
So I guess it's up to the ME-1NV and perhaps the portico 5016 pre/DI.

Bring on some more shootouts!

Thanks for all the help guys.
Just to let you know, I just ordered the ME-1NV, mainly for it's flexibility, portability and DI.
Too bad the ma5 didn't have a pre! Oh well, I hope I won't be dissapointed!

Cheerio!
