I like mine as well, but these are the first good pair of monitors I have owned so take that into consideration. I know Arrogantbastard uses his M-20's along side a pair of ADAM S3A's so he has obviously done a comparasin with a monitor costing 3 times as much as the NHT.

How have you been setting up the High Pass switch & level/freq pots?

I'm currently set with the HP @ 95hz with both level & freq pots around 11 o'clock. Also with the m-00s in the Near field mode.

NHT Pro (A20/B20) are my go to reference monitor. Use them everyday. Best monitors I've ever heard in the sense of accuracy and translatability. Chose them over NS10, ProAc, PMC, ATC, DynAudio, Genelec, Barefoots, Focal, K&H (Neumann) and ADAM. Haven't compared them to PSI, Geithain or B&W yet (hopefully this year).

Still loving mine at the end of 2014, but sadly, they are discontinued...

NHTs over here

Just saw John Paterno at AES - he's still loving his M-OO pair....
I still use, and rely on, my pair of A20s that John recommended to me years and years ago - the detail in the 1-10k area is really outstanding....they seem to be slightly scooped in the mids around 4-700hz.....but that's what NS10s are for -- I know several big name engineers who swear by their old pair of M100 3-ways that they bought in the 90s....
FWIW...just heard the new EVE speaker line at AES...pretty impressive....really open and airy sounding tweeter....anyway - the speaker quest continues!!

Here for the gear

People with experience with the M-00 and S-00 system, I have a question. I have a pair of the M-00s that I like a lot, but they really don't produce anything below 100hz. I have been eyeing the sub for a while and one has come up on eBay relatively cheap. The description says that it sounds good at normal levels but destorts when pushed hard. I'm wondering if this is normal behavior of the driver or amp breaking up when pushed to it's limits, or if it is more likely something is blown and I should stay away?

Thanks
