Mackie HR824 monitor question

The Mackie HR824 has a rear firing passive radiator.
Does this cause more room node problems than a
monitor that has everything that produces sound
mounted on the front of the cabinet.

There's adjustments on the back of the monitor for speaker placement that compensate for this (I believe that's what it's for)

I also find that setting the high pass filter to 47hz sounds best.

I haven't done any test to check your theory....it's possible. Wish I could tell you more...

Nope. The room nodes are a function of the physical dimensions of the space. If there is (for example) a big spike at 250 cycles at your mix position, you will have that spike no matter what monitors you use (unless of course you treat the room). Changing monitors will not eliminate acoustical anomalies.
