Any Bill Bradley MS47 owners out there? Condenser Microphones

Any Bill Bradley MS47 owners out there?

Just curious to hear any and all thoughts from owners of Bill's mic. He has done solid work for me on assorted repairs over the years so my curiosity is piqued by his foray into the modern U47-esque microphone manufacturing world. He certainly has seen enough of the genuine article over the years....

Much obliged!

I bought gregs ms47.

I think it is a GREAT microphone. I recently recorded the same singer with the sm47/u47 but never compaired the files side by side. Both sound excellent. I felt the original had a more obvious lift at 7khz and a tiny bit more color. Could have been the singers voice that day or the room or..
If you are looking for a u47 and can't find one in great shape or haven't got the money I highly recommend the ms47.

It's a great mic, the Bradley 47, but I did eventually crave a real 47 so badly I sold my Bradley to help fund the (ouch.... $11k) purchase.

Greg,
How did the Bradley and the Wunder CM7 compare to you?

I'm not Greg but,I have Gregs CM-7 .
Upon opening it up,we realised it actually had a reskined Gefell m7 cap in it,which is considerably brighter/slightly leaner low's than a stock Berlin M7.
The mic sounded more akin to a newer Gefell UM 92.1S than an original 1950's U47.
mind you the 92's are nice usable mic's,but not quite the vibe needed here.
We put a NOS Berlin M7 back in it and it now sounds like an old school 47[we have 3 amazing old ones to compare] ..with perhaps a teeny tiny bit more air [C12 like] on the hi's.
Sometimes THE mic for female singers where a 47 or C12 don't quite jive.
very nice mic, especially for the price I paid
I tried the Bradley and to my ears, sounded pretty good, leaning on the dark side.
it's probably tweakable,but I'm all mic'd out..passed on it.
Demos are always helpful

i like a darker 47 and the wunder, while an amazing mic, wasn't as dark and deep as the bradley. none of it is as dark and deep as a great 47.... but close.

Just picked up an MS-12 today. Remarkable sounding mic. Recorded a layered acousic song today and mixed it with no EQ or compression. Didn't need any.

Was that an original PVC diaphragm, later Mylar version or a reskinned M7 you used for it?

So, he's making C12 clones too?
