As a user of Daking, Chandler, Neve and API I would look seriously at the Daking for a console.

I love all the others for front end but with the Daking EQ's and warm but yet clean sound, it would provide the most versatile solution for all types of music.

If I was producing nothing but hard rock the others might make sense.

I find the Daking EQ to be the best sounding EQ I've found. (ignoring pultec which is a little too big to fit in a channelstrip)

BTW Geoff- Mike O's picture is more impressive than the pictures on your site. You might want to add some more.

thx

I posted a couple of close ups of Geoff's (DakingPlus w/ Dave T.) new monitor section (with faders) and a few channel strips are over at help me solve my console woes.

All I have for now....too busy having fun.

I'm guessing it would have required more updates and "improvements" to the original Trident design.

I agree with wwittman. I might not have a lot of experinces with tons of consoles but I don't like inline though it's a nessecity it seems these days. I was taught on an 70's API and an 80's Mitsubishi inline (that thing also made mixes sound completly different outside than in the studio). The API with the monitoring section was soooo much better, basically, because it separated everything and seemed more logical and easier to use. That's my opinion.
