i was just wondering......crap + great clock=x

i was just thinking, if you had a crappy ad/da converter such as ad8000 and clocked it with a big bin would that produce results close to Rosetta or any other high end converter? any opinions...

I really dont think the Apogee AD-8000 is a crappy converter AT ALL. In fact, I prefer them over 192's.
Now if you're really talking about the behringer ADA-8000, you are **** out of luck making that thing do anything but sit and **** up conversions...

In general, unless you are syncing multiple digital units, a standalone clock is not really nessesary. The internal clock on any given set of converters is most likey the best clock for THAT piece of gear.

sounds like terd polishing to me. will it make it a little better? yes. but will it be on par with a mytek or rosetta or some other high quality converter - no.
