anyone ever opened up the EMT 240 foil chamber??

Hi gang...

The driver transducers for a client's 240 aren't working - pickups are working well, and the driver electronics are also working - just no drive to the foil... so I've got to open up the inner foil chamber - which I really don't want to do. I've heard opening up the chamber means a 50-50 chance on destroying the foil inside.

Tap the chamber and you hear a nice reverb... and odds are the piezo drivers are bad.... but... I gotta know for sure.

Anyone have any experience opening one up?

And thanks to 'Dr Funk' here at GS , I did get the schematics, and they're now up for download - as well as the original EMT 240 Sales Brochure - at my site... Analog Rules!!! Pro-Audio Parts and Service

Thanks!
