For that kinda dough, you can get a brand new desk called the Toft ATB. The 32 channel version comes out to under $7k, you'll get more than "in the ballpark" of the Trident sound, and you won't have to worry about rebuilding a ****ty 65/70 power supply, recapping/rechipping/cleaning the cat hair and cocaine out of every module, etc. Plus, thanks to a rather killer layout, you'd end up with like, 80-something inputs at mixdown, which absolutely won't happen on an old Trident or an MCI.

Have you compared in person a recapped/rechipped Trident 80/70 (NOT a 65) to a Toft ATB ?
