I will give you a bump at least. I asked the same thing about 6 months ago and never got a reply. I am looking for someone to rack up an old DBX 119 for me and could not find anyone.

Well, I did find one guy but he wanted $1000 or so... to rack a $100 comp... I said no thanks. I know there is time involved no matter how much the gear is worth but..... $1000? Please....

If you run into someone let me know, I will do the same.

Shoot me a PM with more details and perhaps we can work something out. I live up in Idyllwild, which is about two hours from San Diego.

Cheers,

You should talk to Ian at boutique audio. He's awesome and they do great work.
They send most of their recap jobs to Steve Firlotte (Vac-Rac)

Good luck!

John Vrtacic has done lots of work like this. Browse around his page and you'll see some A-Ranges and 1073's that he's done for Bob Rock. I've used John for mic servicing and his rates are very fair

I can do cap jobs here on known working units at a very reasonable price. I can also do tube testing and matching and chip upgrades. (Non SMD) However I no longer have access to a machine shop so racking would be kind of difficult at the moment. Racking is expensive due to the machining required. And the chassis cost and a custom built high end power supply that needs to be constructed... I was MIL Spec soldering certified at one point. Contact me thru my website signature. I can send pictures of some of my work.
