latency issues with rosetta 200

I am recording from my drum machine thru 2 pieaces of outboard gear and then into my rosetta 200. From the rosetta I go into my cheap mbox 2 via spdf.

The problem I am having is there is 4ms of latency. So in turn I can't gridlock my sequence and it appears the whole loop that i record from my drum machine has shifted over so its all messed up!

I am deff new to the world of a/d converters so im assuming the solution is fairly simple.

nudge? i heard of the term but not sure of what it really is yet. ill do more research. Anyone know of what I am doing wrong i would be glad to hear about it

thank you

The best way is to add a time adjuster plugin set for 4ms to the tracks that are behind.

Isn't the latency coming from the Mbox and it's USB connection? Do you have the latency when you use only the mbox and not the rosetta?

The Mbox is your largest problem, but there is latency in all parts of your sytem from the drum machine's DA to your Hard Disk. I know that the latency on the Mbox family is herendous, and not really tweakable.

Personally I don't bother with time shift plugs, Instead you should group the drum machines tracks, and just nugde/slip/spot the drum machine tracks forward 4ms.
