Oh no
Quote from non-reliable sources:

For true analogue mixing admirers Behringer prepares it's most expensive offering ever. At MSRP 1999,- a new console ressembles famous UK studio's console from decades ago and shipping will start soon.
Behringer hired a team of lawyers who are prepared to sue and block anyone who might move in same direction.

Hurry up Wade !

I don't think you have anything to worry about. I can't think of a single "high end" product behringer has copied.

Keep in mind that the options and ancillary functions will increase the price (and building time/cost) so I would like to keep the console functions to what is really needed . Any thought on this would be greatly appreciated!
Best wishes
Wade
May I suggest then, keeping the "DAW packages" for control and recall features as options and making the console as "analog" as possible?

Not everyone is going to want, need or use 'em... I could imagine someone using one of these as a tracking sidecar alongside a 'colder' large format desk like as SSL or something and having a second set of DAW controls would be redundent.

Beyond that, some people might already have a controller that they're happy with.. large like a procontrol, or small like that new Maudio thing...

FWIW ~ I have a Fontier/Tascam surface that I've been bangin' on for about two years. It does what it's supposed to and is generally 'ok' but the whole thing feels like a cheap toy.

Old-skool gets my vote!

Just that 'EAR in yellow triangle' pictured on console really horrors me
This time they will attempt to copy even before the product is released.
Only crazy thing abouth Behringer is that they are really fast.fuuck

it seems like this would work perfectly with the api 7300 (I think that's the name of their rackmount channel strip, I'm too lazy to go look). I think they offer that in a vertical orientation too.

If you're talking about Barefoot's last photo in his post, it looks like that's the original console and not Wade's.

hi wade wanted to give you a pm but realise i couldnt , wanted to send in an email but dont think it would be important.

i had a pressing problem, right now i am interested in converting my gears to chandler, and the this new desk particularly interest me. 50,000k is alot to put in straight, so i thought it would be nice if i could expand slowly.

i was wondering if i am able to buy racks of germanium or even the TG channels at present now , and able to add that into the 16 channels. meaning when the board is ready and i am ready to buy, would i be able to buy a 14 channel board with 2 empty channels so i can slot in the germanium which i already had, or maybe the TG channels?

Call me crazy, but if you are considering whether or not to plunk 50K into Wade's designs, I'll bet he would think it is pretty gosh darn important! I'd send that email if I were you.
