EMM Labs question...

Hey everyone!

QUick question...I have heard that Emm Labs AD converters are like heaven on earth. Here is my question:

I have a Bock Audio 251 Microphone going through either a DW Fearn Pre or a Great River Pre. I have a Lynx Aurora 16 right now as my AD. If I upgrade to the Emm Labs AD from the Lynx AD, will the difference be extreme or not enough to spend the money? Any help would be appreciated!https://www.gearslutz.com/board/images/smilies/wavey.gif

I will tell you what I told someone else earlier. I do have the EMM Labs ADC 8 IV and DAC 8 IV. I've tried them with the Great River and the Millenia recording to a Pyramix DSD rig. Unless you have a top notch monitoring chain, you might hear a difference. The better your monitoring chain, the difference gets greater. I'd say save your money and get better mics and pres.

Bruce
