No unk, they are not trying to make our lives harder, they are trying to make more money. There's no moral issue here. It's a difference that may be difficult to see on the low end, but it is a difference none the less. Avid makes decisions based on how they actually believe it will affect their bottom line. Anything less gets them fired. Shareholders demand that.

Financially, only you can decide for yourself. thumbsup

Midi-wise, I'm absolutely LOVING PT. Long time DP user as you know, and I love the way PT works with MIDI. Very similar to how they do audio, and I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the way you can edit & manipulate midi CC, & data. If you haven't checked it out recently, you should.

Logic Pro 9 + SSL MADI Xtreme with AlphaLink AX / SX Converters.

on 8-Core Mac Pro.

- I have a Rock-solid system
- I'm a long-time Logic-user
- I there was no Logic, I'd use Cubase or Nuendo
- PTHD always seemed expensive compared to Native Systems
- Logic has always been more popular than Protools in Europe (even more though in Germany); that is in music-production, post-pro/film might be different

I do have a small Protools LE-System though, but thats just to be able to load Protools-Sessions people send me. Happens every now and then...
