I can't comment on the SSL converters, I just have the "old" Mixpander Power Pack with the stock Soundscape converters. All I can say is the system is rocksolid. I've been using on a daily base for years.
I only heard that there have been some firmware issues with the new SSL boxes. Don't know if that's true.

Well, yeah, I followed the long thread some time ago on the SSL convertors but suddenly it all stopped... so I just wanted to know what was happening.

Why ? Of course I'd like to buy these convertors but after all the troubles have been solved.

Any idea as to why you havent sold any yet, Mike ?

No issues with mine.
Sound great to me (REALLY great) and work fine.
The thump on power up or down is annoying (why no relay!) but apart from that, I love them.
I run them at 44.1 with an m-audio profire (clocked from the SSL)
Hoping that the mixtreme card is available for Mac one day.

I'm about to buy the MADI SX version and will be running it with a RME hdsp MADI card. Just curious if anyone else is using this configuration, and how it's serving them.

Thanks,

Wessel.

My Alphalink AX converters are working fine. Issues I had were related to a hot summer in the UK and my DAW overheating.

Buy 'em! They sound great!

Yes, I'm interested in this too... I'm running RME MADI on my Mac Pro, and I'm looking at what I/O will ultimately replace my console.
