Talkback Mic Choice? Dynamic Microphones

in this day and age of using a C|24, you can't beat an old 635a for talkback. Omni, bulletproof and sounds just awful enough to remind me of the old built-in talk-back microphones from my analog console days.

Hello I am trying to set up a talk back mic In cubase using a lavalier mic. I have set everything up in cubase and have tested the talkback mic with a dynamic mic and condenser mic, and it works. however when I connect the lavalier mic there is no sound. below is a link to where I purchased the Laviler mic. any feed back and insight would be greatly appreciated.

AKG D58E. Dynamic Hpercardioid. About 1-1/2" inches long. Diameter just big enough for XLR connector. Easy to hide.
