Vintage sounding reasonably priced small tube console?

Hello,

Been checking tube boards/consoles/mixers/desks online, both vintage and recent, and prices are generally pretty high in my opinion for what they have to offer.

Do you know any simple consoles that have a true thick/vintage creamy sound while being affordable and not too big? I don't need many channel.

Thank you!

The new trend is to use 500 series slots. New analog mixers are now a rare luxury. Your asking for tube. For example SSL six is analog, but not tube. What you are looking for is what was identified 20 years ago and now holds value, like Neve, Studder, API, EPI, etc...

Even the decent chop shop boards like the old Soundcrafts are hard to find.

Odd ball one. Perhaps you can find a smaller used "BIG" mixer

What's happening today is people find the equipment to give them the sound they want. In plug or hardware, don't matter. A mixer of often not part of that.

My VTC is available in the classifieds,

Check it out, very affordable, and many, great releases have been cut & mixed on this particular console.

That's a gorgeous board! Good price too. $30 per pound is cheaper than premium TP currently.

Must be tough to sell it. Hope it goes to a good home and records more great thermionic music.

Thanks guys for the suggestions. The VTC is unfortunately out of my budget.

I thought about something, maybe it's stupid but would there be any analog tube console simulation unit, let's say like a Silver bullet unit but for tube ?

I don't know of any right now but maybe someone can help ?
