Two questions:

1. What kind of anniversary is 22? (Answer: none, just a sleazy way to get free ad space)

2. Why can't you pay for your advertising like other decent merchants do?
(Answer: because you figure we are dumb enough to notice)

Maybe you missed my ads?

For the record, we advertised in GS more than any other online place.

As for free ads, I got an email from Gearslutz encouraging me to post.

I could have talked about all the A-List Artists and Engineers
who use our gear, or otherwise pimp the ADK brand. I didn't.

All I said was thanks . . . .

For those who know who we are and what we offer - much appreciation.

For those who want to bash us for saying hello - sorry you feel that way.

All I was saying was a gratitude for 22 years of support!

Cheers!

I don’t see anything wrong with any manufacturer popping in and saying hi every so often; getting a lick of free advertising to a small, select group of people by reminding them they’re around, even as a new thread, GS advertiser or not. This place is about community, which includes the manufacturers, to help keep what’s left of the audio industry and helps to keep it evolving rather than completely dying. Should it become an actual problem with a manufacturer, that’s when something should be called out and addressed. Obviously not the case here.

Hahahaha!!!

1) I’m very curious as to what competitive industry you’ve run your successful business in for 22 years (that’s more than warrants a celebratory post).

2) This whole site is about interaction between manufacturers, customers, users, reviewers, etc. What’s wrong with extending an open conversation to your customers or potential customers??

I truly hope whatever negativity you got going on in your life subsides and this type of minuscule thing stops bothering you so much. I wish you peace dude.

I have no issues with Larry posting this here. Admittedly I’m a customer, but I wouldn’t have an issue with Rode, Audio Technica or Lewitt or anyone else I don’t buy doing it either.

Your post seems like a sleazy way to get attention.
People are figuring someone is dumb enough.

Happy Birthday y’all!

I still love my Area 51!!! Got it a long time ago and it’s still rockin! It was my first “real” mic and of course it blew my mind after singing through cheap karaoke mics!

Carry on!!!!

I'm still using my 3 Zigma mics; a pair of SD cardioids and a single LD LOL-47. Wonderful products.

At the end of the day, it's about your work-product.

Be it music or be it gear, the reason I rarely post
is because I like our work product to speak for us.

If you learn to tailor your tone - and find the sweet spot - the rest is easy.

I'll take a golden-ear guy with lesser tools, than a guy with all the latest gear and no ears . . .

Talk to you all again in a few years, I'll be in the woodshed working on Charlie Parker tunes!

Thanks, Larry. I remember spending a lot of time with you at summer NAMM '01 or '02. Ended up buying 7 or 8 of your mics. I turned a few friends (some of whom were dealers) on to your mics, which they all appreciated.

Wood shed Bird on that gorgeous Onyx Duet, Larry.
One day, your going to send me a slew of mics along with a piano.

Congratulations on 22 years.
