AES split How?

Dear fellows,
At the moment I’m sending my Cranesong Egret in to Cranesong HEDD and then in to RME UFX.

From yesterday afternooon I also own a Forssell MADA-2a. Wiiiihhaaa!

What I want is to solder a switch so Egret can feed either HEDD or The A/D of the MADA-2a. That’s fine.

But after choosing A/D. Is there a device with 2 AES in and 1 AES out?

Or do someone have the scematics of such a thing, so I can build it my self?!

I don’t want to pull out and change the AES in cable everytime I want to try the sound on the other A/D. I would like to make the change via a switch.

Possible?

Kindest regards,
Petter Berndalen

Find a used Z Systems Digital Detangler. You can get the 8x8 ones for a couple hundred bucks these days.

Yes! Perfect! Thank you!

This 1U unit says 24/96 in the description

This 2U unit with same name for half price don’t mention bit/sample rate. Maybe an older version?!

Years ago Zsys told me that it should be able to handle just about any PCM sample rate.

Avare is correct. You want, and require, an active AES Router, not a splitter.
