Overstayer Modular Channel, Obsidian, vs what else?

Getting ready to start a large recording project of my own, putting together a new front end. Music is mostly vintage analog synths, with drums and bass guitar, desired sound is many types of vintage color over transparency.

Current front end:

choice of solid state pres and eq:
neve flavor: aurora gt500, heritage 73eq jr
api flavor: capi vp28
emi flavor: tg2 500, cb 500
modern color: phoenix desktop drs w/gyrator eq.

everything goes into:
Hendyamps MA
handsome zulu tape sim
burl b2 adc/dac

The Hendyamps MA is repacing Summit TPA-200a and A designs Hammer. If I sell them (should I sell them?), I can afford one other large purchase, and I'm guessing a bus comp to 'mix into' while tracking/mixing makes sense.

Obsidian gets insanely good reviews, and I'm told its relatively transparent in terms of color. Overtstayer channel is about the same price. I hear the bus comp is a bit less easily tamed, but brings a whole set of new color options to the table.

Thoughts on the choice between these? Any other things worth considering?
