Here for the gear

Peluso 22 47LE

So... I've read and heard several mixed thoughts on this forum on the Peluso Microphones, particularly the 2247LE. so it's 2018 and the last forum was 3 years ago and it really wasn't a great set of reviews. So whats the deal with this thing.

Is this mic noisy? if so, would a cloud lifter help?

does the Mic sound good? whatever your definition of that is, i want to hear it.

I want honest accounts of the recent builds of this mic, i've heard they've changed the manufacturing process on these mics. so really, whats what?

I've found a great deal on one of these and may pull the trigger, thanks!

My chain will most likely be
2247LE -> revive audio modded alctron 1073 -> hairball audio 1176 Rev A

will most likely only use it on Vocals

Hi there!

I had a peluso 2247le for almost 7 years and i liked it! It has a bit of a congested low mids and can be a bit harsh on sibilance but that is pretty much the case with all modern mics. I preferred it vastly over the u87ai and they can be had prettt cheap. I think both the 47le and their p12 is excellent mics in the 2-3k range.

Mine was dead silence, i used a crane song spider with it.

You really have to spend much more to get rid of its short comings, like u67 money.
