SSL Sigma - Direct Channel Outputs

Hello friends,

I'm new to Sigma family... just starting using it.
Sigma has 16 stereo direct outputs. But I didn't find anything in user guide about what are nice use for that or how to set it up. How does that work?
When I access Sigma's plugin I can only assign individual channels for mix A or B. How can I assign it to individual channel output?

Does it make sense to use Sigma while tracking? For example, going from mic pres to Sigma and then to converters (via direct CHOP)... Do I gain anything in the sound?
Thank you!

Direct outs go directly out; they just are. You can insert the Sigma to automate any console.

The Sigma is a mixer and monitor controller, so if you want to monitor your inputs then sure it makes sense.

The direct outputs are post-fader though, so if you use the Sigma to make a rough mix, you may not be hitting your recorder at optimum signal levels.

Well if they were pre fader, you might as well just take them pre-sigma too!
