Your favorite use of the u67?

Whilst the iron is hot on the new release, what's YOUR primary use for using the 67?

it's my favourite 'silence' mic, of all the mics I've used to record silence, it has the nicest sounding silence.

Even though this thread has serious potential to turn into a joke, I'm specifically answering cause I have a favorite use for the 67. Guitar amp recording. Close and far. Actually besides one being parked for mono drum overhead duties, the rest are all on guitar amps.

Agree on this, I could live with just an U67 on most sources, but it shine on guitaramps.

87s have a presence peak in a frequency that I don't like on guitars. Makes them sound boxier than I like. It's just my preference. I like a 409 over an 87. I can use them, but it's just not my favorite. It doesn't do that magic thing a 67 does for me.

The main difference is in the midrange which is a make-it-or-break-it area for amps. The 67 sounds rich and expensive whereas the 87 unexciting in comparison.
