Help me decide on a new converter

Current audio chain that is getting a channel count upgrade:

8 high end mics on drums (Mogami cables) --->
Whirlwind 16 channel snake (high end Belding cable) --->
Mamba 16In/16out XLR to DB25 patchbay (Mogami DB25 cable) --->
500 series rack full of high end preamps (Mogami DB25 cable) --->
RME ADI-8 DS (ADAT) --->
RME Raydat --->
Cubase Pro 9.5

I am in the process of filling a second 500 series rack and now in need of another AD converter. I am not interested in replacing my audio interface. My RayDat is on the PCIe bus and is fast as all get up. Whatever i decide must have ADAT outputs and DB25 inputs (certainly can have other fomats as well).

Right now i am looking at a few options.

Antelope Orion 32 (do not need the plus as i will never buy a MAC)

I am looking for quality over price and it has to be rackmount. Does it make sense to go with something other than RME so i have a slightly different AD color depending on the source? I am sorta leaning this way just to give me the option of matching preamps with converters. I have the capability of 16 channels of I/O with the RayDat at 96 hz. This might also be a good time to upgrade my monitor outputs to a higher Hz. I would be able to output at least 4 channels at 192hz if i choose the right converter (and 8 more channels out into the ADI-DS at 96hz).

So many choices!!
