API 512 DI input acts like a gate

If this is the wrong subforum - please move it to the right place

Both of my 512c's are acting like a noise gate. Above a certain input level,
they allow the sound to pass. Although the LEDs are indicating that there is a signal coming in below that threshold.

I did not use them for 6month... Any hints?

I would contact API.
Bet they would be the best source of info.
Never had any of mine do that.

Thanks guys. It just happened that both worked without any issues the next day.

Seems that a bit of Voodoo is going on here...
