SSL X-rack advice

I need advice: I have a SSL Matrix board and SSL X-rack containing:
- 1 Sterebus compressor, on the mix bus
- 1 Stere EQ, on the red bus
- 2 channel compressors
- 1 VHD micpreamp
- 2 free slots

I also have some other outboards such two DBX160 VU compressors, Universal Audio LA-610, and a TL Audio 5052mk2 channelstrips

My thought is to add a VHD micpreamp to be able to run a 2 track mix through (before that stage I run the mix through 16 channels on the Matrix board). Is there any benefit soundwise to run the mix through that kind of micpreamps instead of the line input on the Matrix board?

Finally my though is to add another stereo EQ.

OR:

Add two mono EQ (black 4000) to mainly insert for kick and bass (and the two channel compressors) to fill the two last slots in the X-rack.

Advice? What should you do?
