Neve 8816 - help with understanding the inserts?

Hi all,

The manual in the Neve 8816 isn't the best. And I can't properly test the unit at the moment, because my place is at a transition phase. But I need to know these few things before I can plan my next steps.

I'm wondering these inserts the unit have. It has Insert Mix and Pre Fade Insert. If the insert volume knob is turned fully at the maximum position, is the signal then 100% wet? Or is the parallel insert (Insert Mix) still mixed with the original signal?

And in what order these inserts are? If I want to put my 2bus eq's before 2bus comps, should I put the eq's in Pre Fade Insert?

Here for the gear
INS MIX mixes your wet and dry signals.

Refer to my post here: Any AMS Neve 8816 users here? Got a question Thanks!

Or refer to pages 16, 32, 33 of the 8816 Manual.
