Studio Maintenance Routines

I've been maintaining two facilities for the past 7 years. I was basically dropped into a dream job and had to teach myself most things as I don't have a mentor to work with. I'm curious about other studio technicians maintenance and upkeep routines of larger facilities and their analog or digital equipment.

How often do you check the calibration of your monitoring systems?

Do you test microphones on a regular basis? What is your testing procedure?

Fader cleaning? Only when it's needed or do you pre-emptively address this?

The questions above are just examples. There are lots of different things I do on a daily, weekly, monthly and yearly basis. I'm just curious what others might be doing to address the maintenance needs of their facilities.

Once calibrated the monitoring just stays as is until amp recap time - even then they hit the same levels so haven't bothered in yonks.

Mics - get tested through use - it's rare that a single mic won't be used for longer than a week.

Faders - desk gets a good going over with a handheld Dyson on full power every day.
They made need fresh lubricant every 1.5 - 2 years. the correct lube tends to be manufacturer dependant and stated in the service manual of the desk in question. if not contact the fader manufacturer for exact info.

Worth pulling and reseating tubes every seasonal change to reestablish good socket contact. Helps prevent unwanted noise or intermittent behavior.

For all the tracking rooms I've hired, the calibration is checked the morning of the first day. This is done every time the client is changed.
