What do you usually use the Langevin, u87 looking microphones for? Do they sound like u87 mice or just look like them? I don't see them very often

They don't sound like U87s. In fact, I prefer them to U87s. It's the same capsule as the Manley Reference. You can use them on absolutely everything. If you ever see one, buy it! What I end up using them on generally is toms and piano, depending on my mood. (Sometimes I use 414-EBs for those same things, or even tube mics.) But they really work great on everything.
