Is this an early Neumann?

hello Gearslutz ppl!

Is this an early Neumann microphone? Any suggestions would be awesome..thank you !!

I do not really think so as it does not really look "NEUMANN"....
I also doubt that it is complete.
An early capacitor microphone would need more than just that head.
The amplifier section would be missing on the photograph.
And the small Tuchel connector looks a bit funny, just like it has been assembled the wrong way.
Finally the microphone swivel will not be Neumann made.
They had, and still have, higher quality standards.
That also goes for the wooden case.

Sure looks like a U47 grill to me, along with the pattern selector.

Yes ! It LOOKS like a U47.
But the pattern selector switch is different and on a U47 I never saw circular holes on the left- and righthand side of the pattern switch.
And I miss the amplifier section and again: The swivel mount is VERY amateuristic.
Must be home made.

I believe these were a special order made by neumann for CCC film.Only a handful exist and they use an AC701 tube.
