Additional pre with converter?

I would like some opinions on this. I already have some flavours of pres (3124, tg2, daking) and need 2-4 pres with maybe the added bonus of extra converters in there (not necessary though. I ADORE my mackie 400f's conversion). I already had a bae 1073 so I don't need that heavy neve sound, but I don't hate it, either.
So, what I'm after? I look for extra channels with quality, to have piece of mind with my drum sound, and maybe to have more versatility in the rest of my tracks.
My thoughts are
1. Get another 3124 and be done with it. Yeah but i'll be less versatile with the other-than drums, sources.
2. Neve 4081. A clear neve sound that i surely lack, plus the added converter. Need your opinion on this one.
3. Api a2d. The sound i know plus a great converter and good metering.
4. Another flavor you think is crucial for me now that you know my pres.

Your time and advice is greatly appreciated!

Ps, I'm into rock-heavy rock territory!
