Neve/API mix room in Philadelphia area?

Looking for a studio with a vintage Neve or API in the Philly area. Would be grateful for any suggestions. Thanks!

Thats the old Ruff Nation stu?

Does Joe still have the API desk?

Highly recommend that facility if it is.

It's the studio that founded Ruffhouse Records if that's what you mean. not sure if they have an API as well. I haven't been there in a while, but Phil and Joe are great.

Kwari has an Api.
I know it's solid as a tech friend works on it.

Hi Jason,
Exactly the spot I was referring to.

When I was hustling in PHL Joe let me do a bunch of records in his room.
I actually helped him, and a crew, carry the API legacy up a flight of stairs for install, granted this was 10 plus years ago.
In complete agreement: Phil and Joe are the biz-niz.

Cheers!

What I don't get is that - just from the reading I do here - I thought that Neve and API were, like, 'opposites'; that someone would say "oh no: that Neve won't do. I need the API Sound!"

I mean just the general perception from what I read here..

I am no pro but I'm guessing the difference becomes much less important when the issue is becoming finding anyone with either.

For me its about the project and the sound the client wants.
If there is an room to choose, there are differences.
But not so much that a jazz record couldn't be done on an API desk
and a hard rock record on a Neve 80 series or whatever...

Would you rather drive fast a BMW or an Audi?
Both are solid quality, just a little different going into the turns.
